Our 10-week puppy training program is perfect for families who have very busy schedules and desire to get a puppy that has an even stronger foundation of the lessons taught in our 6-week puppy training program. After completing our 10-week program, your puppy will be 16 weeks old and can transition to their new home with a very solid foundation of the basic skills they’ve learned, which makes it easier on the puppy and your family.

 

Here's what's included in our 10-Week Puppy Training Program:

• Reinforcing and refining the training learned during their first 6 weeks of puppy training classes.  The difference between 6 weeks and 10 weeks of training is huge. Instruction given during these extra 4 weeks is really sinking in for the puppy, and he or she gains a better understanding of what they’re being asked to do. At this stage, puppies are like sponges and are soaking up all of the trainer’s instruction. The repetition of training exercises and commands becomes muscle memory. Their desired response to a command given is rewarded, which is the desire of the puppy, as well as the trainer. 

• Place command (a certain area or place where the puppy is to go and sit if given the “place” command. We use a Kuranda bed)

• Two tricks: (shake hands, roll over, play dead, spin, or stand on hind legs)

 

Our 6 and 10-week puppy training programs are a great foundation for your puppy, before they transition to their new home. Since they are still young when they go to their new home, it’s important for their new family to continue the training with short training sessions at home. The bulk of the initial training has been accomplished, but they are still puppies and continuing to learn new things. You want them to stay grounded in what they’ve been taught, and continuing their training with short sessions each week, will reinforce what they’ve already learned. Prior to you bringing your puppy home, we’ll make sure you have all of the information and instruction you need to continue with short training sessions by going over the information with you and providing you with instructional videos.

In addition, our puppies are hand-raised and receive early neurological stimulation from birth, through their first few weeks of life. Our puppies are wormed at 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks of age. Training prices include appropriate age shots and visits to the veterinarian. All puppies will come home with a crate, lead and collar.
